As a general rule, women don't hit on men. They are terrified at rejection and would rather let men take that risk.

They flirt and make their intentions known that they want to be hit on, but they themselves don't do the "hitting".

Most guides for women to get men involve playing hard to get, etc. They are also usually done with the intent of getting married, where as male guides are written to get laid.

There are no special tricks for men. Most men would be happy just to have a woman come up and talk to them.

You seem to focus a lot on getting attractive men.

I wish I knew the answers to those questions too. I guess the whole talk about "leagues" is true. I mean, when I see a person I know their (fairly objective) level of hotness quite instantly. Although then the pickup artists come about the seem to subvert that hierarchy (or so they claim -- I have a friend heavily invested on it who so far has not been very successful, although he seems to be improving). There is also the complication that in these things we are trying to understand the way the *other* sex is thinking, and we don't know how wildly different it can be -- sometimes the genders seem incredibly similar, sometimes galaxies apart.

g, who can blame her? Everybody likes attractive people, no? She did mention that that was not her goal, just that it would be nice to be able to.

g -- I realize that might be true of women in general, but it's not of me. I DO hit on men. And have been rejected as often or more than not.

In my own personal experience, it is NOT true that men are just happy to have a women approach them, though it also seems to be that most men THINK that's true, even of themselves.

Forgive me if I read this wrong, but your last comment seems to be a criticism? Why exactly would I be interested in UNattractive men?

Ok, I admit that I place more value on looks than the average woman does, but in my defense, I couldn't care less about dating a guy with lots of money and/or status, which is what women stereotypically are interested in.
