Yes, people can catch STDs from unprotected oral sex. It IS rare, though. Stats vary widely, but my super librarian skills helped me with doing *some* research on it. I realize that I took a risk, but IMO it wasn’t as much of a risk as a lot of people seem to think.

OTOH, it all depends on what YOU consider risky. Is a 1% risk too high if what you’re gambling on is catching HIV? (I *totally* made up that statistic for an example, btw.) Isn’t that a subjective question?
